My love for vintage does not stop at apparel; it includes everything from furniture decor, movies, artwork, and books. I love the quality craftsmanship and uniqueness of vintage items , especially when it comes to decorating my home. Since BF and I started house hunting (for a mid-century modern home, of course) I have been looking for items that would fit into our aesthetic, but also comfortable pieces that we can actually use. I’m always finding fabulous items at great prices and my friends always ask me to shop around for them. This inspired me to start a new blog post called Vintage Find Friday, where I will share unique, fabulous, (and mostly affordable) vintage finds including furniture decor, artwork, and beyond.
My first pick is a bar cart which is all the rage these days with major retailers like Crate & Barrel offering a vintage-esque version for $600. Bar carts are a great investment since they are so versatile and can be used for a variety of purposes such as serving tray, side table, console, and yes a mobile bar. Since bar carts run about $600+, I prefer putting that money toward an authentic vintage one like this early 20th century 3-tier bar cart. I say jump on this trend and host a Scotch tasting part with friends and enjoy!
